Software Neurotechnology is the discipline of measuring, decoding and governing intelligence using software instruments instead of neural hardware. It studies how humans think, how AI systems think, and how businesses make decisions — and produces tools that make all three measurable, auditable and accountable. Coined and pioneered by Bharat NeuroTech.

The category exists because the previous words didn't fit. Hardware neurotech reads the brain through implants. AI safety studies one model in a lab. RegTech maps activity to checkboxes. None of them describe what happens when an AI engine developed to decode intelligence — human, artificial and business — becomes the instrument for measuring human, AI and business cognition. That is software neurotechnology.

Dr. Nitnem Singh Sodhi — Mental Health Specialist, Pioneer of Cognitive Regulation therapy, ISO 42001 / 27001 / 27701 Lead Auditor (ANSI & ABICB), and Managing Director of Bharat NeuroTech — architected NeuroCortex v2 to be the first model that could plausibly do both jobs at once: study human cognition the way a clinician does, and study AI cognition the way an auditor does.
